Allan Alomes

Allan, with a background in Computer Science, is also an architect of more than twenty years and an industrial designer. He co-founded Natural Pod, a Certified B Corporation that creates and supplies sustainable natural-wood furniture for schools and early-learning environments across North America and the world, where he designs all products and leads all concept work. Years of helping his daughter manage school and university work showed him the problem from the other side: the work was always there. The thread kept getting lost.

Cole Kapler

Cole returned to school during the pandemic to change career paths, studying at Camosun College, where he earned Dean’s Honour Roll recognition and tutored statistics. He later worked in marketing at Natural Pod, communicating ideas about sustainable design, education, and learning environments. Cole joined Allan in shaping Colla from its earliest days, bringing his recent student experience and interest in note-taking, research, and AI directly into the work. He understood the problem firsthand: students had more information than ever, but no dependable way to keep its meaning and connections intact.

Colla is being built by people who care deeply about learning, organization, and preserving the value of work over time.
